St. Joseph’s Wilmar Education Centre is a community based organisation. It is a rescue centre and a learning institution in the city of Nairobi, Kenya.
This being our motto, we work towards making sure that the children own the education we provide and in the process owning it to better their future life.
The centre being integrated we host children from different faiths, ethnic groups and nationalities
We believe in the right of education, well being and love for every child in a sage and secure environment.
Quality education and care, giving hope and opportunity to develop the right values for tomorrow; making sure every child has the right to education no matter the circumstance. Honesty and transparency are greatly observed making sure every decision made is of the best interest of the child.
Our main objective is realization of quality education to the needy, vulnerable and every other child in the community providing them a safe and secure learning environment where everyone is equal regardless of ethnic background, ability, gender, religion or any other circumstance.
In offering services, we do it with great love and care due to the fact that most of our pupils come from differently challenged backgrounds some from abusive parents/guardians, orphaned, some with health conditions like HIV/AIDs, neglected children, etc.
We provide education and meals to more than 850 underprivileged children counselling and guiding them due to the trauma and negative influence they get from the slum living where they have limited or no access to basic education and health services due to extreme poverty.
And in doing these we give to them hope, achieve healthy development and mould in them the right morals for there future, thus a better and informed positive approach to life.
We are a centre providing education, food and nutrition and awareness of child rights to the less privileged and vulnerable children in the society.
We receive no government funding and we depend on a small running levy we charge the able parents and guardians among us which is barely paid to keep the facility running.
This being our motto, we work towards making sure that the children own the education we provide and in the process owning it to better their future life.
